Emancipendence 2026

As Emancipation Day opens this year’s Emancipendence season and Independence Day approaches, it is worth remembering that these are more than dates on Jamaica’s calendar. Together, they mark the journey from freedom to nationhood and the history, people, and culture that continue to shape us.
Coming off the World Cup, we’re reminded that identity travels: in the colours we wear, the stories we tell, and the places we call home. After Hurricane Melissa, reconnecting with our roots also means remembering the communities, traditions, and ways of life that have always held us together.
Emancipendence gives us space to look back with clarity and forward with purpose. The next chapter is already taking shape.
A new 876 Worldwide line is coming by mid-August—rooted in Jamaica, made for the present.
More soon.
One Love.
